Visions for a Greener Houston

Citizens Environmental Coalition presents a new Environmental Summit: Visions for a Greener Houston. Thursday, February 9, 2012. 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Please plan to join us in a collaborative process, through a series of working meetings, in an effort to create a unified environmental vision for the year ahead.
o To picture where we want to see our community by the end of 2012
o To produce a set of attainable goals across broad environmental issues areas
o To produce a visionary document that summarizes these goals
o To share this visionary document with our local governments and the community at large
o To coordinate efforts among environmental agencies to realize short-term goals
o To bring a wider spectrum of our citizens into the environmental conversation

UF Water Institute Symposium

February 15 - 16, 2012-J. Wayne Reitz Union, University of Florida Campus-Gainesville, Florida. This symposium will bring to-gether scientists, engineers, academics, non-governmental organizations, policy makers, water managers, industry and utility representatives, lawyers, students, and the public to explore emerging issues related to nutrient sources, dynam-ics, management, and policy from multiple perspectives.

2nd USA Science & Engineering Festival

The 2nd USA Science & Engineering Festival will inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers with school programs and nationwide contests throughout the 2011/2012 school year and a finale Expo in Washington DC on April 27-29, 2012. The Expo is the nation's largest celebration of all things science & engineering and features over 1500 hands-on activities and over 75 performances. We have exciting new programs including a Book Fair, Featured Science & Engineering Authors and a Career Pavilion!
