Gulf of Mexico Alliance Environmental Education Network Request for Proposals
The Dauphin Island Sea Lab has a Request for Proposals (RFP) open from January 14, 2010 through February 5, 2010. Proposals will be funded by a grant from the NOAA Coastal Services Center in support of Gulf of Mexico Alliance Environmental Education. Please find pertinent information below. A team of five people will review the proposals. Three people are from the five U.S. Gulf states and two are from outside the region but familiar with environmental education. - What sort of reporting will be required?
Reporting will be twice a fiscal year. - Does this grant require match?

Technically, there are six priority issues. They are Water Quality for Healthy Beaches and Shellfish Beds; Habitat Conservation and Restoration; Ecosystem Integration and Assessment; Reducing Nutrient Inputs to Coastal Ecosystems; Coastal Community Resilience; and Environmental Education. We didn't list environmental education because that is what these projects will be doing - environmental education related to one of the other issues.

- Provide a status of the project in terms of progress toward meeting milestones and deliverables in reference to the time line described in the proposal/project plan
- Describe any changes to the project plan and the planned budget
versus actual costs - Briefly describe planned activities for the upcoming project period
- Performance measures tailored to your grant award.
